These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of junkanddemoteam.com and any services provided by Junk & Demo Team LLC ("Junk & Demo Team," "we," "us," "our"). By booking a service or using this website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services We Provide
We provide junk removal, demolition, hauling, and related cleanup services in New York City (Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Bronx, Staten Island) and Nassau County, NY. The scope of any individual job is defined at the time of booking and in any written estimate or invoice we provide.
2. Quotes and Pricing
Pricing for our services depends on:
- Volume of material to be removed (truckload share).
- Type of material (regular junk, construction debris, hazardous, etc.).
- Job complexity (stairs, parking, distance to truck, special handling).
- NYC Department of Sanitation rules and disposal facility fees.
Estimates given over the phone or via the website are good-faith approximations. The final price is set at the job site after our team has assessed the actual scope. We will tell you the final price before starting the work; if you do not approve, you can decline at no charge (subject to a small trip fee if specified at booking).
3. Payment
Payment is due upon completion unless we agree otherwise in writing. We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and major mobile payment methods. Invoices not paid on time may accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted by New York law.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
You can cancel or reschedule a booking at no cost by contacting us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled time may be subject to a trip fee.
5. Property Access and Responsibility
- You confirm you are authorized to dispose of the items we remove or demolish.
- You confirm you are the owner of the premises, or you have written permission from the owner.
- You are responsible for clearing pathways and providing reasonable access to the work area.
- We are not responsible for items intentionally left on the premises after we leave.
- We will take care of your property, but minor scuffs from large/awkward items during removal can occur and are not covered.
6. Hazardous Materials
We do not remove items we believe to be hazardous — including but not limited to asbestos, lead paint debris, medical waste, full propane tanks, paint, automotive fluids, and ammunition — unless explicitly agreed in writing in advance and at an appropriate price. If hazardous material is discovered during the job, we may stop work and refer you to a licensed hazardous-waste contractor.
7. Permits and Compliance
For demolition work, you are responsible for confirming that you have any required permits from the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) or other relevant authorities. We can advise generally, but the final responsibility lies with the property owner.
8. Insurance and Limitation of Liability
Junk & Demo Team carries general liability insurance. Our liability for any claim arising from our work is limited to the price paid for the specific job. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of business or revenue.
9. Photos and Marketing
We may take before/after photos of work areas for quality control and marketing. We will blur or remove any personally identifying information (faces, license plates, documents) before publication. If you do not want photos taken, please tell our crew at the start of the job.
10. Donation and Recycling
Where items are in donatable condition, we may direct them to charitable partners. Tax receipts for donated items are not provided unless arranged in advance.
11. Website Use
The content on junkanddemoteam.com is provided for informational purposes. Pricing examples are illustrative and not binding. You may not copy, scrape, or republish our content without written permission.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continuing to use our services after a change indicates acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Kings County (Brooklyn), New York, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
14. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts remain in full force and effect.
